Leadership Matters

I’ve thought much about leadership because early in my life I realized I was both designed and called to be a leader (whether I wanted to be or not). Leadership is both a God-given ability (“You can’t put in what God has left out,”) and a learned skill (“Leaders are made, not born”).

Four events happened in the past week that incited my thoughts on leadership. They include the Tucker Carlson/Vladimir Putin interview, the Robert Hur Report, the Super Bowl, and the birthday of America’s greatest president, Abraham Lincoln.

Joe Biden and America in Trouble

If there was ever a time for an electorate to repent (be humble, sorrowful, and change their mind) over the choice of a leader, it’s now.

It’s hard to believe that eighty-one million Americans voted for the 46th president of the United States who is in obvious cognitive decline, with no real principles, who used his office to make his family wealthy, and was known to be on the “wrong side” of every major foreign policy decision he advised.

The Afghanistan tragedy proves Joe Biden is possibly the worst Commander-in-Chief ever– (beating out James Buchanan and Andrew Johnson)–in just seven short months.

And Joe Biden and America are in trouble because of it.

The Meaning of Donald Trump–from a Biblical Perspective

As I readied this article for publication, the news hit that Rush Limbaugh died today at the age of seventy. His wife Katharine made the announcement at the beginning of his three-hour program which contains the largest radio audience in history.

I’m thankful for Rush Limbaugh’s thirty-two years of truth-telling about many aspects of American life. He was brilliant in his political analysis, courageous against the forces arrayed against him, and passionate in his love for America and its people.

His battle with lung cancer deepened his faith. In the past few months, he talked openly about his closeness to God and forgiveness through Jesus Christ. His millions of followers prayed for him and certainly benefited from that testimony.

Rush will be missed–but we must carry on the fight for truth. Here is my latest contribution.
