Freedom 250: The Five Thousand Year Leap
America just saved the world (again) in the War with Iran. The Islamic Republic is a satanically-inspired terrorist nation. They were close to having atomic bombs to use against Israel, the USA, and other countries.
Iran doesn’t respect “mutually assured destruction” (MAD). They believe blowing up the planet will bring the final Mahdi (Messianic Muslim Ruler) to usher in sharia to the cosmos.
We destroyed their navy, air defenses, and economy to bring them to their knees. They surrendered under our terms while we negotiate an enforceable agreement and pray for the Persian people to overthrow them.
America is back as we approach our nation’s 250th birthday.
One historian calls the “miracle of America” a five thousand year leap.
Destroying the Foundations: Tyranny (Force)
The Bible is clear that the destroyer in our world is Satan and his demons (John 10:10, Revelation 9:11). His main vehicle for destruction is force, which is human tyranny in many forms.
The most obvious method of destruction is unjust war–such as religiously-tyrannical Iran firing 300 missiles at the sovereign state of Israel last weekend. Thank God that through the prayers of millions, Israeli defense, and the support of other nations, little damage was done.
It was a grim reminder that evil tyranny is alive and well. And it’s not just afflicting Israel.
A spirit of tyranny (force) is also rising in America to destroy our godly foundations.
Age of Dictators
I intended to write this week on dictatorships that are growing in our world.
Then, Russia invaded Ukraine–and upped the ante as to what’s really happening.
Suddenly, this looks hauntingly like a redux of World War II–except we have ten nations that possess nuclear weapons. That means the tactics of war and the stakes are quite different.
There’s no doubt we live in an age of dictators and maybe the beginning of a new world war.
Here’s my view.
