Discern Whose Voice You’re Listening To
The universe began with the voice of God. He spoke everything we see into existence (Genesis 1).
The first four voices that interacted on earth (Genesis 2 & 3) were the voices of God, Adam (the first male), Eve (first female), and the serpent (a manifested form of Satan or Lucifer).
Four points of view –the Eternal God revealing Truth (Reality), two human beings learning both truth and error, and the fourth voice deceiving our first parents.
That deceit–listening to the wrong voice–continues to to this day all over the world.
To overcome deception, you must discern whose voice you’re listening to.
The 21st Century Satanic Partnership
When I wrote Leadership for the 21st Century in 1989 (which predicted the fall of the Iron Curtain before it happened), I included a chapter on competing worldviews we might face in the new millennium. I felt then that biblical faith (Christ’s Kingdom advance in the nations) would be challenged strongly by either atheism in all its forms or Islam.
One thing I never considered was that atheists and jihadists might partner together to hinder God’s redemptive work on earth. But that’s what is happening in the 2020’s.
And here’s the primary reason why:
The forces of darkness and the human ideologies that follow them want anything but Christ.
The Quiet Conquest: Islam’s Advance and the Collapse of a Sleeping Church
I’ve written much over the past few months on the disengaged Church in America.
“Darkness” is growing in the United States because many 21st century pastors/churches are afraid to speak about sin and be salt and light in the culture. They fear people more than God.
When the “light” dims, “darkness” fills the void.
Virgil Walker has written a powerful piece about the sleeping Church–and Islam’s quiet conquest of the West–if we do not wake up.
