The Pilgrim Legacy
I hope you prayed for the Dobbs v. Jackson abortion case that was argued today before the U.S. Supreme Court. After fifty years of the greatest holocaust in human history, this Mississippi appeal provides an opportunity to limit abortions in our nation or possibly reverse Roe v. Wade.
The decision will not be announced until June 2022, but between now and then we must intercede for our justices to do right according to the U.S. Constitution, the laws of God, and the consciences of honest human beings.
The right to life in America–the most basic of human rights–goes back to the Pilgrims of Plymouth, Plantation. Here is the Pilgrim legacy we must renew in our day.
We Must Change the Language to Renew the Culture
Many weapons are used in a cultural or civil war. But the vanguard always involves a “war of words.”
God used words to create the cosmos out of nothing (Genesis 1:3-31). His language possessed creative power. When humans (made in his image) use words, they create mental realities, passion, and momentum for societal change. They also give meaning and authority to the ideas behind them.
Right now we are losing the war of words in America’s cultural war.
We must change the language to renew the culture.
Government Schools Were A Bad Idea
There is much unrest in Cuba this week and I encourage you to pray for this important island nation just ninety miles off the coast of Florida.
I have never been to Cuba, but have friends who have ministered there. Cuba is a sobering example of what the U.S. could become if we do not resist tyranny in our own nation.
The Cuban government-run schools indoctrinate youth in Marxism/socialism/communism. The same thing is now happening in America via our state-run schools.
Government schools were a bad idea.
Here’s why.
