God Uses Flawed People
Like many of you, my wife and I really enjoyed the Jesus Revolution movie which has taken the nation and world by storm the past few months. For us, it brought back many memories.
The same year Lonnie Frisbee showed up on Chuck Smith’s door (1968), God brought me to salvation as the move of God’s Spirit swept across the nation. I wasn’t a hippie, just a lost teenager who was seeking the truth.
My conversion experience during the real Jesus Revolution Days is detailed in chapter three of my upcoming book One Small Life: Revival Adventures from My Fifty Year Journal. It’s currently at the printer and will be out soon.

Keep Jesus At the Center
One of the blessings of keeping a lifetime journal is celebrating “special days” on my Life Calendar.
On July 19,1973, God spoke to me, a bewildered but passionate twenty-year old, to become a “teacher of his Word” as part of my calling. I have fulfilled that assignment for the past fifty years in many settings around the world.
The most provocatively titled teaching I’ve ever given is called “The Secret of Happiness.”
It has to do with putting Jesus at the CENTER of your life.

If you’re like me, you might find it difficult at times to stay positive and balanced while gazing at the precipitous decline of Western and American culture around you.
Watching the news is depressing. Evil forces have been unleashed in our world (through human choices) to destroy people and nations from within. It wouldn’t take much for nuclear bombs and cyber attacks to strike from outside.
