Critical Race Theory and Satan’s Voice
Much is happening in our world this week with the “Freedom Convoy” in Canada, (we need one in every nation), tensions on the Ukrainian border, and the censorship battle over the “The Joe Rogan Experience.”
The global civil war for freedom and souls is heating up–and we must be armed with knowledge and on be fire in prayer.
I also chatted on-line this week with a friend who helped widen my vision of the spiritual war and “voices” we hear. I was reminded about one of the bigger lies of the current worldview war–Critical Race Theory– and how to recognize Satan’s voice in it.
What Will It Take to Awaken the Prodigal West?
One thing that separates the Bible from the Koran is the prevalence of stories that inspire us about life and truth. While the Koran contains the “recitations” of one man over a few weeks, the Bible was written by forty authors over two thousand years. That’s an amazing difference.
Because of its depth and breadth, God’s Word contains many stories, both historical and allegorical, that are memorable and life-changing–such as the parables of Jesus. One of my favorites is the Prodigal Son. It instructs us on the dangers we face in the Western World–and how to find the way home.
But what will it take to awaken the Prodigal West?
What I’m Doing Because of What I See
I’m enjoying daily Bible devotions this year using my “original Bible”–the one I cut my teeth on when I first became a disciple. The old, black, leather book is held together with duct tape and contains the New American Standard translation. It’s wildly marked up after decades of study.
I started reading it from cover-to-cover fifty years ago. Daily Bible-reading is probably the most important habit I ever developed in life–and continues to this day. Reading “God’s thoughts” challenges me to be a doer of his words and priorities.
Last week I shared a 30,000-foot view of what I see happening in the world. I would be remiss if I didn’t share what I am doing about it.
