I intended to write an article today on the dangers of an out-of-control and extremely biased national media in the United States.
But the brazen gun attack on Congressional Republican leaders–practicing at an Alexandria, Virginia baseball field for a bipartisan charity game with their Democratic colleagues–changes the focus.

Memorial Day 2017 – The Bravest Boehme
Our church held a fabulous Memorial Day service on Sunday complete with a color guard, patriotic songs, prayer and great preaching to honor those who have served and given their lives for our country.
Freedom isn’t free–and those who fight for our liberty should always be remembered.
I had the privilege of telling my Uncle Dick’s story to the congregation on Sunday. I consider him the “bravest Boehme” who gave his life to liberate Europe during World War II.

Killing O’Reilly
I’m sure that you are aware that some of the best-selling books of the past five years have been written by news anchor Bill O’Reilly. They carry titles such as Killing Lincoln, Killing Kennedy, Killing Jesus, Killing Patton, and Killing the Rising Sun.
This “Killing Series” has sold millions of copies and has been translated into dozens of languages. Not only are the books well written in gripping novel-style, but they also contain great history that is educating a new generation.
You may by aware that Bill O’Reilly was let go by Fox News a week ago under controversial circumstances. At the time, The O’Reilly Factor was the number one news show on cable television worldwide–and held that position for fifteen years.
