The Other World War III

I was born too late to experience the horrors and deprivations of the first two World Wars (1914-18 and 1941-45).

But I’ve read enough history to realize that any talk about World War III must be serious–especially with nuclear weapons.

Since the recent killing of Qassem Soleimani, the terrorist head of the Iran’s elite Quds Force, some commentators have stated that Donald Trump brought us to the brink of World War III.

That would be ugly.

But I know of another World War III that could be far more devastating than atomic bombs…

My View of the World – 2020

The second decade of the 21st century has begun and it’s easy to play off the number “2020.” For most of my life my vision was 20/800, corrected only by contact lenses. Since having cataract surgery, I can see “20/20” without help.

I’m also trying to spiritually glimpse what is in store for the planet in 2020 and beyond, and will do my best today to share what I “see.”

I Canceled My CT Subscription with Hope

On December 19, Mark Galli, the out-going editor of Christianity Today (CT), wrote an editorial supporting the impeachment of President Trump.

CT was started by Billy Graham in 1956.

There was a swift response from many Christian leaders, including Franklin Graham, who felt compelled to reveal that his father had voted for Donald Trump in 2016, and would have been greatly “disappointed” by the editorial.

I have subscribed to CT for decades because it was the preeminent faith-based magazine in America.

But I’ve cancelled my subscription–with hope.
