C.S. Lewis on Evil (and Hell)
With so much evil being witnessed today due to social media and 24/7 news coverage, I thought it would be vital to discuss the essence of evil and its just end–the reality of hell.
Two people died in the “insurrection” in Minneapolis and at least 40,000 have been murdered in the freedom protests in Iran. Evil is awash in our world even as God is redeeming multitudes through salvation in Jesus.
What is evil? And is hell justified for evildoers?
Maybe C.S. Lewis can enlighten us.
Destroying the Foundations: The Deception of “Saving Democracy”
Let’s finish a trilogy I started a few weeks ago on “Destroying the Foundations.”
Evil, satanic-inspired, destruction is currently being unleashed in the USA and other parts of the globe. Biblical foundations of faith, family, sex, gender, and law & order are being trampled in our nation with alarming social consequences–a potential collapse of Judeo-Christian civilization and all its blessings.
The methods being used in various cities and states are common to all “coups.” We’ve previously talked about growing censorship and tyranny. The Devil hates true freedom. Yet, much of the damage is being done under the guise of “saving democracy.”
This phrase is nonsense loaded with deception.
It’s all about power. Read More
Pride is Usually a Sin
June used to be known as the “wedding” month when a man and woman came together in holy matrimony, usually in a church, to demonstrate the God-given origin and covenant of marriage.
Our wedding, though not in June, took place on October 10, 1976, before 300 people at Harper Church. The wedding announcement stated: “We believe that the wonderful God of the universe has called us to serve him together in the beauty of holiness.”
Today the month of June has become “Pride Month” with numerous parades and celebrations around the nation. Some members of the current administration want it to become “Pride Summer.”
That’s problematic.
Pride is usually a sin.
