Happy Thanksgiving–Remembering Plymouth Rock & the Pilgrims
I wrote about the Pilgrims recently while disagreeing with Bill O’Reilly about their faith. By all accounts from numerous original sources, those who landed in Plymouth in November of 1620 were some of the finest “Americans” these shores have ever welcomed.
I reprint today a very special visit I took to Plymouth Rock thirty-five years ago. This Thanksgiving we should thank our brave Pilgrim forefathers for their vision, wisdom and sacrifice that led to the making of the United States.
Praying for Megan’s Salvation
U.S. soccer star, Megan Rapinoe, is one of the most recognized and decorated athletes in world.
Recently, at the twilight of her brilliant career, she made a statement that turned many heads. For some, the reaction was to laugh or mock her. I can’t say she didn’t deserve it.
But I want to encourage a different response to her outburst.
Let’s pray passionately for Megan’s salvation.
Disagreeing With O’Reilly on the Pilgrims (and Witches)
Bill O’Reilly, host of the “No Spin News,” is one of my favorite news pundits. He reminded me a few years ago to question all you see/hear on TV and the Internet and always seek the facts about news and issues.
I paid $280 to become a lifetime member of his nightly broadcast for access to materials and commentary. In return, I received a free set of his Killing series books (now 13). They comprise the most successful non-fiction book series in history with nearly 20 million copies sold.
His latest blockbuster is Killing the Witches: The Horror of Salem, Massachusetts.
But I disagree with O’Reilly on the Pilgrims (and Witches).
