What We’ve Prayed For for 46 Years
When abortion became legal nationwide on January 22, 1973, I was oblivious to Roe v. Wade–being a naive 19 year-old, living in New Zealand and looking for God’s plan for my life.
Soon thereafter, I became educated and burdened. I began to pray against the abortion holocaust and participated in marches in Washington, D.C.–some with upwards of 100,000 in attendance.
Yet, abortion remained the law of the land for decades despite an estimated 60 million babies being slaughtered on the altars of the Sexual Revolution.
That may be about to change.
It’s what we’ve prayed for for 46 years.
Honoring My Father and Mother–Every Day at Four PM
I recently celebrated a special 10th anniversary–one I never planned in my wildest dreams.
I’ve always been a big vision kind of guy, giving my time and energy to teaching and preaching for Jesus, promoting spiritual revival, and mobilizing God’s people for world evangelism.
But ten years ago, I made a commitment just as important in God’s economy as changing nations.
I chose to honor my parents–every day at 4 p.m.
The Great Turning Away
Not long ago a friend on the east coast went through a major moral failure. After much prayer and sharing, I sent an email to him sharing my best advice on righting his personal life.
Because he was not a believer, I decided to appeal through a popular concept that contained sound biblical principles. That teaching is called “Confronting the Brutal Facts.”
We need that same truth today to face what might be the most consequential development of our lives.
History may one day call it “The Great Turning Away.”
