Reopen and Never Close Again
I was tempted with two titles for today’s article. The first was “Herd to Control or to Heal?”
Some experts believe herd immunity helps us to heal (fight disease) naturally. They think it would have been the wisest response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Others, in the name of health concerns, are using the virus to “herd people” under their control. That’s what will happen in the Last Days when a charismatic global figure will deceive the masses of the world for evil purposes.
I talked about a “trial run” for tyranny last week. Today I want to focus on dealing with the COVID-19 lock down with a title that states the obvious:
Reopen the economy and never close it again.
Satanic Bean ball and Divine Curve
Since the baseball season remains cancelled, let’s use a baseball analogy.
As I ponder what a friend calls the Coronapocalypse, I become increasingly aware of two teams in combat and two “pitches” being thrown.
On one side, demonic forces are motivating some leaders to create fear, suffering, and a willingness to follow authoritarian rule through the global pandemic. This could be “conditioning” for world governance described in Revelation–or a precursor. Call it a satanic “bean ball” (an intentional pitch to hit the opposing batter).
The difference is the demons don’t want to just hurt human beings. They want to kill them (separate them from God–John 10:10).
On the other side, I missed God’s “curve ball” until recently. He wants to use these events to save, not kill, billions.
Keep your eye on both “pitches” in the coming days.
Why the Pandemic?
I find it both settling and faith-building to seek answers to important questions. That’s how I became a follower of Jesus–God answered my deepest questions about life and meaning.
Looking for perspective on vital questions continues to be a “peacemaker” in my heart and mind.
I believe many people are seeking answers to our global situation involving the coronavirus. Today I will give my best shot.
Why the pandemic?
