The Zelensky Debacle: Why Character Matters
Last night President Trump made his triumphant return to speak to a joint session of Congress. The speech was combative, visionary, moving, and the longest ever by a sitting president (one hour and forty minutes).
After the dust-up in the Oval Office four days before with the president of Ukraine, President Trump told the nation he “appreciated” a letter he’d received from President Zelensky indicating he was ready to work under Trump’s “strong leadership” to achieve a lasting peace.
That’s a good first step. Zelensky’s behavior last week was “absolute idiocy” to quote a Ukrainian MP.
My thoughts on the debacle and why character matters.
Why Washington State Missed The Trump Tidal Wave
I have written previously that the current Democratic Party has gone radically secular. It’s now the anti-God extremist party. Current Dem priorities are at war with our 250-year Judeo-Christian culture through abortion on demand, open borders, gender confusion, denial of free speech, socialist economics, and refusing to prosecute crime.
In 2024, the (Trump) GOP emerged as the pro-faith (and by extension) common sense party. The R’s believe that abortion should be “safe and rare,” want clear borders/legal immigration, take boys out of girls’ sports, support free speech, promote economic freedom, and be just on crime.
Americans turned to the GOP and its moral sanity in the Trump landslide.
Only one state–Washington–became worse (a deeper blue) in 2024.
Here’s why we missed the Trump tidal wave.
I Have a Simple Question
Bill O’Reilly of the No Spin News is one of my go-to news commentators. He calls himself a simple man. He likes to articulate simple questions when trying to arrive at the truth.
I’m a simple man too when seeking truth. For me, that means that the 2024 presidential race comes down to a very simple question: Which candidate, Vice President Harris or former President Donald Trump, will point America back to God?
Your answer to that question should determine your vote.
