An Open Letter to Pastors About Charlie Kirk’s Death

Three weeks after the Charlie Kirk assassination, a spirit of violence seems rampant in America. Yes, hatred and violence have been with us since the murder of Abel in the Garden of Eden.

But throughout U.S. history, the flourishing of violence was generally kept in the closet by the predominant Judeo-Christian worldview. Ninety percent of us believed that murdering innocent people was wrong.

Not anymore. And the Church must shine God’s light into the darkness.

Did God Take The World’s First Selfie in 33 A.D.

[Just before publication, I learned of the political assassination of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA and one of the leading Christian conservative leaders in the United States.
 
Our prayers go out to his wife and young family and tens of thousands of young people whom he mobilized for Church revival and governmental renewal. I am praying that “the blood of the martyrs will be the seed of the Church.” May 1000 young leaders take his place in the spiritual awakening of America. 
 
Charlie has now met Jesus face-to-face. His spirit has been resurrected to glory in Jesus’ eternal Kingdom. I share the following article as encouragement to us all that Jesus was the first to rise from death–and God took a picture of it.
