My USA Midterm Elections Plea

There are three primary ways we can make a positive difference in people’s lives.

First, in every country, you can intercede for God to intervene, save, and bless the affairs of individuals and your nation. Second, in all nations, you can make a personal impact through works of compassion, service, wisdom, and truth-sharing with others.

Third, only in free nations, can you make a difference by voting consistently and wisely for good leaders.

Here is my USA midterm elections plea to all who care about America’s future.

My USA Midterm Elections Plea

Contrary to what you might think, I have never been a political partisan. I have voted for both Democrats and Republicans–and some independents–over the years.

Generally, I’ve shied away from independents because of non-electability. That leaves the Democrats and the Republicans.

If I had lived in America between 1776 and 1960, I would have voted for many Democrat presidents including Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, FDR, Harry Truman, and JFK. During that two hundred year time frame, both political parties operated out of a biblical world view with Democrats supporting the working class and Republicans supporting business.

I would have rejected the Democratic Party from Reconstruction onward in many races because they were the party of racism against African Americans and supporters of the Ku Klux Klan. That’s a simple historical fact.

My Republican heroes are Abraham Lincoln for his wisdom, wit, and courage and Ronald Reagan for his winsome personality, wise principles, and effective policies.

In 2022, the landscape in America does not resemble the before-mentioned 1776-1960 time period. Despite the wimpishness of some Republicans and a few that have R’s behind their name but vote like Democrats (Senators Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins come to mind), most Republicans still hold to the biblical worldview of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other Judeo-Christian principles that made the USA the greatest nation in history.

The Democratic Party once shared that biblical faith and also and respected the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

No more.

They have also stopped supporting the working class and have stronger ties to big (and tyrannical) business and media than the Republicans. Plus they have less defectors. Democrats usually vote the party line.

The leading independent news agency in the world right now is billoreilly.com. Bill O’Reilly, like me, was born into a multi-generational Democrat family that idolized Franklin Roosevelt. Bill is a long-time independent who critiques both Republicans and Democrats when they wield power.

No spin.

But recently he expressed on an evening broadcast what I’ve been thinking for years. He remarked, “How could anyone vote for a Democrat in 2022?” My thoughts were similar: “How could any sane person vote for the Democratic Party and their current policies?”

Those questions are backed up by the following examples of current Democrat priorities:

  • They hood-winked eighty-one million Americans into electing an inept and mentally diminished president who can’t or won’t attempt to solve numerous national problems.
  • They no longer believe in free speech, freedom of religion, or due process (innocent until proven guilty).
  • They are the party of “death” for innocent children (abortion) up until birth and some after birth.
  • They are lenient on criminals, won’t protect innocent people, and some support defunding the police.
  • They support an open border that is destroying southern states and national sovereignty.
  • They led an embarrassing and disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.
  • They are the drivers of inflation through massive deficit spending and demonizing the fossil fuel industry.
  • They are destroying the American family through sexual and gender confusion.
  • They are wreaking havoc in American cities by not stopping gangs and encouraging drug us.
  • They are the anti-God, pro-socialism/Marxism party of the 21st century.

I could give scores of more examples.

In today’s real world, the “D” in Democrat stands for deception and destruction. They are deceiving us with false promises while systematically destroying our heritage, economy, border, families, and working class people’s hopes and dreams.

How could anybody vote for a Democrat in 2022? Do you want to become a banana republic, with everybody poor and miserable with authoritarian elites telling us what to do?

In 2022, there can only be three reasons to vote for Democrats: 1) Ignorance (your daddy did), 2) Laziness (you like the entitlements and free stuff), and 3) You also want to see faith-based America and its blessings destroyed (for whatever reason).

I am hoping and praying that you will wake up this year and cast off the danger, deception, and spirit of destruction. Even if you have to hold your nose, you must vote Republican because you want what’s best for people, towns and cities, and our role in the world.

Voting for a “D” in 2022 will hurt you, your family, and all of us.

Is that really what you want?

Here are some additional voices to guide you.

Jarrett Stepman, Daily Signal columnist:

The Democrat Party now represents the socially radical technocratic blob that dominates American institutions. It has left some traditional Democratic voters and politicians feeling alienated.

Newt Gingrich, former Republican Speaker of the House on “absentee” Democrats:

In the House, Democrats created a ‘voting-by-proxy’ system that allows Members of Congress to get paid without ever needing to show up for work. Ninety percent of House Democrats have voted by proxy rather than showing up on the floor.”

Stephen Moore, one of America’s clearest economic minds:

We fought a war against COVID, and socialism won…The virus that threatens the world today in almost every nation is runaway government spending and debt. It is the match that has lit the forest fire of runaway inflation. It doesn’t matter how much Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell raises interest rates (which he must do to tame inflation). The stagflation of high inflation and slow growth won’t end until politicians start taking a chainsaw to their out-of-control budgets.

Government spending has not stimulated anything except more government and less private enterprise. The public sector has to go on a SlimFast diet — and for a long, long time to drain the excess spending out of the global economy.

Tulsi Gabbard, former Democrat presidential candidate who left the party this week:

I can no longer remain in today’s Democratic Party that is now under the complete control of an elitist cabal of warmongers driven by cowardly wokeness, who divide us by racializing every issue & stoke anti-white racism, actively work to undermine our God-given freedoms.

When the party in power does not believe in the rule of law, but they’re responsible for writing and enforcing laws, our democracy is doomed. Democratic Party leaders no longer believe in freedom of speech, religion, and the right to bear arms, They try to censor speech they don’t like, labeling it as misinformation and hate speech.

Democrats are working hand-in-glove with corporate, for-profit media and Big Tech to smear and silence political opponents and anyone who dares to challenge their authority.

Deroy Murdock, comparing the Trump border with the Biden “sieve:”

Border Patrol agents apprehended 951,568 illegal aliens during President Donald Trump’s final 19 months in office. In President Joe Biden’s first 19 months, the Border Patrol encountered a staggering 3,588,877 illegal aliens—up a sickening 377%.

Bill O-Reilly says that many Americans now vote emotionally, not rationally. I agree, but it includes the pride of willful ignorance. “They know not what they do” (Luke 23:34).

Here’s praying for an enlightened red tsunami on November 8 followed by the people holding the newly-elected Republican leaders accountable to change course in America.

You vote can ignite hope on Tuesday, November 8.
