The Big Beautiful Bill and the Turning of the “MV USA”

Our hearts and prayers are with the people of central Texas this week in “flash flood alley” where possibly 100 people were killed and many homes devastated along Guadalupe River. 

We can be comforted that the children that perished are now safe in Jesus’ arms. And thank God for the bravery of many to save lives. Let’s continue to pray, give to relief efforts, and help bring closure on earth to the grieving in the Texas hill country in coming days.

But unlike the flash floods, some human disasters are man-made such as bad laws and incompetent leadership. In this article, I’d like to share my perspective on the “Big, Beautiful Bill” and its mission to slowly turn the ship of the United States of America (MV USA).

Exactly one year prior to America’s 250th birthday, President Trump signed into law the “Big Beautiful Bill” the nation has been talking about for months. What does the bill do for America and its people? Who is telling the truth about it?

I believe the “Big Beautiful Bill” is a necessary “course correction” for the United States of America to help renew our nation. 

Let’s begin with some historical perspective.

America was founded as a unique biblically based nation in 1776. Not all colonists in early America were followers of Jesus, but the vast majority were God-fearing or accepted the Bible’s moral tenets. Our culture from 1776 to 1960 (184 years) was based on biblical ideas of “In God We Trust,” the Ten Commandments, the Golden Rule, and so forth. 

Never perfect. Many flaws. But, overall, Judeo-Christian in morals and principles (including government).

For the past two-to-three generations, many Americas have turned toward atheism/secularism in personal mores, education, arts and entertainment, and bad government policies fueled by the demonic world (and its human foils) to destroy the USA as a faith-based nation.

I have written many articles (and some books) on this worldview battle over the past fifty years.

Most writers call this secular tilt “the Left.” I don’t because the phrase is meaningless. Human culture is not a turn signal. It is formed through worldviews–what we believe about God, people, morals, and meaning. 

For example, the biblical worldview includes loving and respecting God, human beings having dignity being made in his image, God-given rights (life, liberty, and property), strong families, hard work, free enterprise, godly institutions, limited civil government, and being a beacon of freedom in the world.

On the other hand, the secular worldview denies God’s reality, teaches that human beings are cosmic accidents, believes human rights come from rulers, weakens the family unity, encourages a welfare state, and promotes socialism/communism (even a one world government).

Despite their many faults, the Republican Party generally promotes biblical principles which made America great (including the abolition of slavery in the 19th century). In recent history, the Democratic Party morphed into the anti-God party that seems hell bent (with a compliant liberal media) on destroying every aspect of faith and morality in our country. (Drag queens are good. Really?)

Enter Donald Trump in 2016 and 2024. God is using him to renew our national foundations, reform the American government and promote peace through strength throughout the world.

Trump has the unique position of being of a non-sequential two term president. He learned much from his first four years in office–quite an asset. Following his second election, he hit the ground running with 100+ executive orders reversing the secular tide. And knew he must work with Congress to turn America around.

Hence, the “Big Beautiful Bill (BBB).” It’s laden with pork and too much spending. But overall, it’s good political sausage that turns the American nation in a wiser direction.

It was worth passing for three monumental course corrections.

Border Security – The BBB helps the United States become a sovereign nation again after the disastrous Biden open border years–allowing 12 million illegal aliens (including maybe 700,000 criminals) enter the country. Almost miraculously, illegal border crosses have gone from 10,000 people a day to almost none. No, it didn’t take “comprehensive immigration policy” to accomplish it–just a new president who was willing to enforce the law. The bill adds border agents, technology, and funds the completion of the wall.

America is a secure nation once again. 

Welfare Reform – The new administration wants to get lazy folks and addicts off of the dole. The new Medicaid rules (social safety net) provide for those who can’t work, single parents who have dependent children, and seniors. But it forces able-bodied Americans to look for work or volunteer at charities (20 hours a week).

The Medicaid changes might lead to nine million people getting a job or volunteering at a charity (20 hours a week). This former Clinton-era policy returns us to the concept of the “diligent poor.” It saves 1.3 trillion over ten years.

It also stops state governments from ripping off federal taxpayers. In 40 states there are no Medicaid restrictions because it’s a cash cow for state governments that the Feds reimburse up to 6%. Trump is lowering it to 3.5%.

Ungodly leaders push for big welfare states not primarily for compassion purposes but for control. Poorer, dependable folks are more easily “herded.” Right now, 100 million people in the USA receive some form of welfare–up over 100% in ten years. This bill “turns” Americans back toward the value of work, not state serfdom.

Lower Taxes – At the heart of the BBB is renewing the original Trump tax cuts and making them permanent. Otherwise, everybody’s taxes go up this year. This will especially help the lower and middle classes. No taxes on tips, overtime pay, and Social Security income will put more money into the pockets of everyday Americans–even encourage savings.

My CPA told me yesterday that the BBB tax changes will benefit 75% of all Americans. The ones that benefit least are the wealthy whose deductions are “phased out” based on higher income.

Don’t believe the propaganda that the tax provisions in the BBB help the wealthy or billionaires. That’s a lie. Making the Trump tax cuts permanent is for the folks.

Tax cuts make people more prosperous and ultimately bring in more revenue for the U.S. Treasury. We have a 36 trillion-dollar debt. Forty percent of Americans pay no income taxes. The federal government takes in five trillion dollars a year in taxes–but we spend seven trillion. 

The Big Beautiful Bill will economically help all Americans and close the federal deficit gap. Coupled with tariff revenue (500 billion to one trillion annually), DOGE cuts, and new energy exports, we could be on our way to a balanced budget and whittling away the obscene national debt.

Choose your sources carefully. Lying is condoned in the ungodly worldview (the end justifies the means). It’s a sin in the biblical one.

The USA has entered a season of cultural shift–heading toward our 250th birthday on July 4, 2026. We are a “big boat” that influences the world. Government renewal, spiritual revival, and positive changes in education, entertainment, and other areas of life are beginning to “re-route” the USA.

That’s why there’s increased violence, lies, fear, and loathing among the ungodly. They’re losing control.
