America Voted Out the “Kings” in 2024

There is so much to pray and talk about these final weeks of spring.

The most dangerous hotspot is the Israel–Iran War where the State of Israel is committed to denuding the terrorist regime of nuclear weapons. I will share my perspective next week as more unfolds.

Today let’s unpack the “No Kings” rallies in U.S.  The rallies had it backwards. We voted out the “Kings” in 2024.

America Voted Out the “Kings” in 2024

I have written many articles on the worldview battle currently taking place in Western civilization.

The “West” is a product of biblical principles that created the most free and prosperous nations the world has ever known.  Yes, there are Roman and Greek influences in Western Civ, but as Indian scholar Vishal Mangalwadi explains in The Book That Made Your World: How the Bible Created the Soul of Western Civilization, Europe, the USA, and their progeny find their roots in Judeo-Christian principles.

He quotes H. Grady Davis in the opening chapter:

The Bible brought its view of God, the universe, and mankind into all the leading Western languages and thus into the intellectual process of of Western man…Since the invention of printing, the Bible has become more than the translation of an ancient Oriental literature. It has not seemed  a foreign book, and it has been the most available, familiar, and dependable source and arbiter of intellectual, moral, and spiritual ideals in the West.”

Mangalwadi explains:

The modern West was build by people who dedicated their lives to what they believed was divine, true, and noble…the difference was that the Bible gave them the basis for hope in this life as well as in the next. This biblical faith in a Creator who made human being in his image and loved them enough to come and save them, made it possible for the West to sin, “Oh come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant.”

Though nothing is close to heavenly perfection in our fallen world, Western Civilization blessed the globe with faith, hope, love, freedom, civil rights, and human prosperity through God’s wisdom and redemption. Europe led the way during the Middle Ages and Reformation as the continent of “development.”

America personalized faith more deeply, and with its natural resources and geographic safety, rose to become the “pearl” of Western Civilization–especially after the defeat of East/West totalitarianism in 1945.

For over one hundred years, North America has been the continent of “propagation” (the Good News of Jesus Christ.)

For many decades, both demonic and human forces have worked relentlessly to tear down America’s godly foundations. Their power reached the zenith under the Biden Administration which erased borders, fueled inflation, promoted immorality, and retreated from global leadership.

Call it totalitarian drift. Free speech was stifled. Common sense voices were banned on college campuses. “Wokeness” canceled out businesses, individuals, and Church influence. Antifa burned cities and towns at will. And the only “kings” in America were Democrat progressives who tried to control every aspect of our lives.

Seventy-five million people voted for them and their totalitarian tendencies in 2024 (Kamala Harris campaign).

But God lit a fire under the most unlikely candidate in American history, Donald Trump, and 80 million people (a majority) voted him back to the Oval Office. They wanted a new administration to politically rescue us from the secular “kings.” They voted to return America to her God-given roots, principles, and ideals.

It was true democracy at work to help restore a biblically-based constitutional republic.

That’s what President Trump is doing. He’s not a king. He’s a democratically elected president.

The Blaze shares the truth about the “No Kings” rallies promoting Trump’s “kingship:”

The No Kings movement has framed the [June 14 military parade] as Trump’s “self-aggrandizing $100 million birthday celebration,” claiming the president is attempting to use the parade to flex his authoritarian power on the world stage.

However, that framing is misleading, as the parade’s date coincides with multiple events: Trump’s 79th birthday, the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary, and Flag Day.

When asked about the No Kings protests, Trump responded, “I don’t feel like a king. I have to go through hell to get stuff approved.”

Love the honest humor. (Progressives don’t easily self deprecate.)

Newt Gingrich lends perspective:

Remember this weekend that the supposed “no kings” protests are a coalition of illegal immigrants, well-funded radical groups, and Democrats so overwhelmed by Trump Derangement Syndrome that they have lost all sense of representative democracy. Also remember that none of them was elected to unilaterally overturn our immigration laws.

This strange coalition has no moral authority – and is following the tradition of every other radical group which has threatened to break up America and undermine the Constitution. By contrast, calling out the National Guard and sending the armed forces to Los Angeles is in a tradition of Washington, Lincoln, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and others.

The contrast between Saturday’s parade celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States Army and radicals attempting to undermine the law will be a stunning moment of choosing for millions of Americans.

We pray the nation chooses wisely.

The “No Kings” supporters are the true totalitarians. They are steeped in deception. The new administration is trying to rebirth the biblical foundations of America and the Western World–not control anyone.

That’s the true American spirit.

The choice is clear. One researcher summarized it this way: “The Left: ‘Conform or die.’ The Right: ‘Let’s debate what is right and true.’”  He said in a follow up post. “In other words, The Left: ‘Water is wet and if you disagree we hate you.’ The Right: ‘Is water wet or not? Let’s discuss.’”

That was the stark difference between the “No Kings” protest and celebrate America military parade.

Chase Spears rightly shares in “The Truth Is They Do Want a King:”

Progressivism demands a king who will uphold its cause zealously, and punish people who dare to assert that the law should provide rights and reasonable limitations equally to all citizens for the purpose of a virtuous society. Their king will tell you what you can drive, what you can say, what you can eat, and how you may use your land. They want a king who will literally cover your face and inject your body, a king who will take your children if you deny transgender ideology, a ruler who will terminate your bank accounts and your job if you stray from depraved thinking. The progressive left wing wants what it has always wanted: power. It needs—no, demands—a dark lord who will, as the great novelist J.R.R. Tolkien wrote, rule themfind them, and bind them in darkness.

Thankfully, a majority of Americans rejected the “kings” in 2024. Let’s hope we can avoid George Orwell’s “prophecy” in  in Notes on the Way (1940):

For two hundred years we have sawed and sawed and sawed at the branch we were sitting on. And in the end, much more suddenly than anyone had foreseen, our efforts were rewards, and down we came. But unfortunately, there had been a little mistake. The thing at the bottom was not a bed of roses after all. It was a cesspool filled with barbed wire…It appears that the amputation of the soul isn’t just a simply surgical job, like having your appendix out. The wound has the tendency to go septic.”

May it never be in our lifetime.

Let’s live once again the rallying call of colonial America: “We have no king but Jesus.”

And pray passionately for our new, democratically-elected leaders.
