Is God a Moderate?

This week’s nomination by President Trump of D.C. District Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court remains the talk of the nation  (including many mindless protests).

Kavanaugh is a superb candidate with impressive credentials. He graduated from Yale Law School, has a beautiful family (he and his wife Ashley met in the Bush 2 White House and have two daughters), possesses a strong Catholic faith (he serves the needy through Catholic charities), a good sense of humor (in coaching his girls’ basketball teams he said, “they call me Coach K”), and vast and eloquent legal opinions (300 cases over 12 years).

Kavanaugh “reveres” the US Constitution and will not be a judicial activist. Yet, some believe he might be a “moderate conservative” due to a few opinions he authored.

Only time will tell. Personally, I believe he’s a good choice for America.

Even if he does have some moderate tendencies, isn’t that a good thing? After all, isn’t God a moderate?

The Best Birthday Present Donald Trump Could Give to America

Enormous good.

Yet, most of us believe the USA needs a “re-birth” during these tumultuous years of the early 21st century.  And a very unlikely leader–President Trump–may be poised to give America its best gift in centuries.

What’s the best birthday present Donald Trump could give to America in 2018?

Being Buried or Being Planted?

On Saturday I will complete one of the hardest stretches of my life both emotionally and physically. I am weary, sore, emotionally drained and have been greatly tested over the past ten weeks.

During the time of Nehemiah, the Israelites, under very harsh and difficult circumstances, rebuilt the wall around Jerusalem in 52 days. It was a Herculean feat.

We didn’t make the 52 day mark in our project, but with many miracles along the way, we accomplished a big task in 112 days.

And I learned something along the way.

There’s a difference between between buried and being planted.
